Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £24,000 to £30,850 pa dependent on experience
Location: Meriden Community Centre, Garsmouth Way, Watford WD25 9ET

Summary of your role:

Your key responsibilities, but not limited to:
The Youth Engagement Officer will be responsible for assisting with the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes in Hertfordshire.
The YEO will work closely with the PL Kicks Manager, as well as a range of funding and operational partners to further develop our PL Kicks offer, to monitor and evaluate the impact and outcomes achieved.
In addition, this role will support the delivery of the Premier League Inspires programme, as well as other education-based programmes as devised from time to time by Trust staff.
The role involves managing casual coaches and volunteers to ensure that the services offered are of the highest quality and provide opportunities which inspire, engage, motivate, and empower young people to realise their potential.
The YEO is expected to undertake coaching delivery; with a focus of sustaining, monitoring, and developing the PL Kicks programme and all other social inclusion-based programmes/initiatives.
The role will collaborate with staff and support school focused programmes to raise young peoples’ educational achievements, wellbeing, and physical activity, linking the PL Inspires programme and other educational programmes.
You Must Have:
- Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
- Proven track record of working with young people in a range of settings
- Experience of managing or supervising staff/volunteers
- Experience in working, developing, and managing relevant partnerships in the social inclusion / youth work sector
- The ability to be able to enthuse and motivate participants
- Have a flexible approach to work and be able to work unsociable hours (including some evenings and weekends)
- In date Safeguarding Children & First Aid certificates (Please make sure the dates are added onto the application) Good communication and inter-personal skills – both verbal and written
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
You would ideally have, but not vital:
- Other NGB and Youth Work qualifications
- Experience of writing development plans, work programmes, and reports.
