Salary: £27,040pa
Hours: 40 per week
Location: Vicarage Road Stadium and various locations in Hertfordshire and Harrow
Contract type: Full time - until June 2027
Reporting to: Head of Health & Wellbeing

Summary of Your Role
You will work within our Health & Wellbeing Department to coordinate and deliver a range of high-quality programmes, initiatives and events that support older adults across Hertfordshire and Harrow.
The role involves both planning and delivery of community-based sessions, alongside administrative duties to support programme coordination, monitoring and reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Health & Wellbeing, partners, and community organisations to ensure activities are safe, inclusive, and impactful.
You will be passionate about improving the lives of older adults, highly organised, and motivated to contribute to the Trust’s vision of creating healthier, happier, stronger communities.
Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To
- Plan, deliver and coordinate engaging activities and events for older adults, ensuring a high-quality and person-centred experience.
- Work collaboratively with partners, health providers, and community organisations to develop and sustain delivery opportunities.
- Support the Head of Health & Wellbeing with monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the programmes.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of funding applications and reports.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently met across all sessions and activities.
- Recruit, train, and support casual staff and volunteers to ensure delivery excellence.
- Assist with participant triage, data entry, attendance registers, and evaluation reporting.
- Represent the Trust at events, meetings, and partnership forums when required.
You Must Have:
- Dementia Awareness Training – or be willing to complete this prior to starting delivery
- Safeguarding Qualification – or be willing to complete this prior to starting delivery.
- First Aid Qualification – or be willing to complete this prior to starting delivery.
- Experience of working with older adults across a range of programmes.
- Experience of recruiting and/or supervising staff and volunteers.
- Experience of working collaboratively with a range of partner organisations.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate records.
- Proficient IT skills – proven experience of using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and build positive relationships.
- Commitment to providing inclusive, high-quality support to all participants.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of the Trust’s commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Safeguarding.
You Ideally Would Have:
- Mental Health First Aid Qualification
- An accredited health or wellbeing related qualification
- Experience of monitoring and reporting on programme delivery and outcomes.
- Experience of working within a community or charitable organisation.
